Department of Telecommunications
Welcome at the home page of the Department of Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science (EEMCS) at Delft University of Technology.
The Telecommunications Department is responsible for research and teaching in the field of remote sensing, microwave technology and navigation, electromagnetism and communication, with other departments of EEMCS and TU Delft also contributing to these fields. In particular the Faculty of Management Science (TBM). This faculty covers user and socio-economic aspects of telecommunications.
We intend to strengthen our cooperation with other departments in research and teaching to achieve a research capability covering the full spectrum of telecommunications, from the physical layer to the applications and the socio-economic aspects. The result should be that TU Delft becomes a more attractive partner, nationally and internationally, for universities and industry to co-operate with, and to be in a better position for attracting external funding.
The research of the Telecommunications Department will primarily be carried out in the research institute IRCTR of the EEMCS faculty.
